Artists and Craftspeople
From handmade jewelry and pottery to original prints and paintings, Telluride is full of incredible artists.
Aubrey Mable Lane
After helping her partner Jules build a ceramics studio down in Illium, Aubrey started getting serious with clay herself during the pandemic in 2020. She found center at the wheel during a chaotic time in the world, often forgetting about everything else while throwing. Primarily a musical artist (check out her band, LVDY!), she loves exploring pottery as a new art medium of expression.
Bow Mountain Pottery
Jules Fallman Lane
Jules has been making functional pottery in Colorado for the past 10 years. During the pandemic her and her wife opened Wheelhouse Community Studio down valley in Illium and shared their love of pottery with 20 members. The battle to afford housing in this town forced her to go back to full time tech bro, part time potter.
Alder & Main Guitars
Jamie and Christianna started building guitars in the back alley of their condo on east main in Telluride in 2017. Hence the name Alder & Main.
Now married with a 3 year old son, they’ve moved to Norwood with shop space and a CNC machine to create much more intricate projects. 28 guitars have been built to date.
MetalRock Designs
Tony Finocchio
Tony has been creating jewelry and metal art since his first move to Boulder in 2009. His approach to art embodies a free spirited form of true self expression: do what you love and create work that resonates with you. Tony learned the basics of his craft from some of the best instructors in Boulder and the surrounding area, and continues to develop his skills and artistic voice through personal experimentation and advanced classes with masters in the field.
Tony divides his time between Telluride, Colorado, a place he’s called home for over 34 years and Mendocino, California. Tony sells his work through art shows and festivals in Colorado and California. He’s created a number of signature pieces for special events & festivals in Telluride, and in the last several years has offered wildly popular private classes through the Ah Haa School for the Arts, which caters to both kids & adults.
In his spare time, Tony enjoys playing guitar, listening to live music, reading and running.
